I didn't want to post about this....

But I have to.

So 2 months (or 3???) ago, I posted about something.

And now we are actually "trying". Woo hoo!

And after peeing on those damn ovulation sticks, we finally saw that second line that in fact said "Hi, you are ovulating soon", we did what we had to do.

And now, I am waiting. I still have a few days (or more like 14'ish) until my "friend" is due.

What in hell do i do now? Literally, every single second I am spending thinking "am I??" or "Am I not???".

How do I get through 2'ish weeks WAITING?!?!

Things I have done since seeing that ovulation kit turn positive:
-Look at stuff for a nursery. I have picked out most everything I like.
-Annoy my husband with more talk about baby names (For the record, we are NOT naming our child Wolfgang Van 13-letter-last-name, thankyouverymuchMark)
-Go to a website and discover that pregnancy countdowns actually start upon date of last period, which means if this thing worked, I won't be 2 weeks pregnant, I would be 4 weeks pregnant. WTH???
-Calculate estimated due date if this whole thing worked (December 3rd, if anyone is wondering)

Holy crap.

I have reached a whole new level of insanity. How do I get though this?

Oh Margaret........the two weeks of waiting is so so hard! So much goes through your mind during this time.
I'll be thinking of you and praying for a positive! Try not to make yourself crazy though, okay?

I would say drink loads of wine, but I don't think that's a great idea. I so hope you are pregnant. But if you're not, just remember the wine thing and know you will be soon.

LOL at Wolfgang. Dang I still need to look up that one name for you. I'll try and remember to do it when I get home from work. Yes work. On a Saturday. Enough said. :)

And aren't First Response tests supposed to work after a few days? Or a week maybe? Get two though, just in case. One for now and one for a week from now. Actually, get 4. Two for each of those times.

2ww. 2 week wait. Hopefully you won't have too many of those!

Lots of babydust coming your way! (yeah, I mailed you some, haha!)

I'll have to ask my daughter which one but some of those home kits tell you right away. She tested before the monthly and it was positive. And Thursday we find out if it is a boy or a girl!!!
I'm thinking POSITIVE thoughts for you!

Welcome to the waiting game - it is the worst. 2 weeks is a LONG time (especially month after month if it doesn't happen right away). (of course, counting up to ovulation sucks too). Men will NEVER understand it either.

Good luck! HOW EXCITING!!!!!! OH - and most importantly - have fun trying.

Ahh, the wait. Yes, I remember "the wait". It seems like forever, but once you get the positive, time flies! Good luck and take lots of folic acid. Hopefully you've started on the vitamins!

My first was born on December 3..great day!!

Honestly? I never bothered with the ovulation predictor things....I just let my husband get really lucky a lot a lot a lot when I wanted a second baby (the Princess was a bit of a surprise - miracle more like!)

I even stopped charting my cycle because I couldn't handle the waiting and counting. I waited until it seemed like it had been forever since I'd had a period, and I just had a feeling and took a test - but then I'm one of those crazily infuriatingly fertile types. Sorry.

Fingers crossed! Good luck, and if this isn't the month then just keep having fun trying!!!! And if you think waiting is hard now? Just wait until you're past your due date and you have to wait 10 more days to be induced....THAT's some hard waiting!

I wish you the best of luck! Try not to think too much about it (I know - easier send than done!)

I'll say a little prayer for you!

Thank you for letting us in on the waiting game.

Having never been blessed with the ability to get pregnant I suggest you spend this two weeks loving every minute of the anticipation and the excitement and leave the craziness and the worrying to us out here in blog land.

<---jumping for joy for my new BFF.

I find that vodka and diet sprite help me pass time and make the kids a whole lot funnier.

Finger crossed...
