Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh My!

So yesterday I mentioned on our "honeymoon" we went to the Natural Bridge Caverns Wildlife Drive Thru Safari.

I loved it.

A lot.

We saw
Buffalo. This guy walked right down the middle of the road and stopped EVERY car (because, can you really go past something that size unless he wanted you to?). Mark rolled down the window for a photo op, but wouldn't let him stick his head in the car. Wuss.

We saw:

The Texas Official Animal. We didn't want him to get real close.

And we saw:

Again, out Mark's window. He didn't want this guy to get really close. He's a wuss sometimes. I love him...but geez. Who wouldn't want a zebra up close?

Certainly not moi.

See my leg? And my shirt? You can see a small part of the bag of food that I had to move away. She was a big ole' hog. Well, a zebra who wanted a lot of food.

More pictures coming. I don't know when Mark will continue the download process. Wuss.

I love that you're married a week and you have already found such a cute pet name for your husband: wuss.

I have almost that exact same picture. James got one up close and personal, too. He was closing my electric window to keep a pretty enthusiastic one from coming in, while another got him through the window on his side. The look on his face when he went nose to nose with the zebra was priceless! I love that place.

That is awesome! And we drove thru this animal place last year - I had an ostrich in my car window. Scared the CRAP outta me!

Those pictures are so cool! How did you stop yourself from opening the door and letting the zebra come right on in?

Post more pictures, please!

That is so cool! We went to a place like this and I bent down to pick something up...only to hear The Princess crying hysterically...I jerk my head up to see that an ostrich had stuck its head inside the bus and was devouring the food in the bag of food inside my terrified child's hand. It also made for a cool picture! Of course, I am still paying for the therapy she needed to recover! (hee-hee)
