Very quiet

I've been quiet for a few days. Been reading everyone's blogs and commenting, just not a lot to say about me.

Wedding invitations are done.

I still have no idea about a cake. I have had 4 conversations with different cake maker people in the greater New Braunfels area (which consists of 3 bakeries and Wal-mart). I need to call a local grocery store sometime this week. 2 of the 3 bakeries are staffed by big, giant meanies who should NOT be involved with anyone remotely considereing getting married. If your sole purpose in life is to work with fancy cakes (i.e. wedding cakes), you should not be a big giant butthead. To the point where I hang up on you.

Yes, I saw your book-o-cakes. Yes, I got there after you left for the day. No, I really didn't like what was in your book-o-cakes. No, I didn't think they were ugly (yes, I really was asked that). However, they were just not me. I don't want a fluffy, frilly cake (no offense if you had a fluffly, frilly cake - they aren't me). I want a simple OFF-WHITE cake. I don't need a 3 tier, 2 tier cake. I wants something slightly fancier than a sheet cake.

Wal-mart believe it or not, has the cake I want. Matches my dress exactly. But it is only made in a 3 tier cake. And they don't deliver.

Anyone wanna make a box of brownies for me???

I got my wedding cake at HEB and it was awesome. Plus they delivered. Any nearby?

My Aunt made my beautiful cake. No tiers just thick double layers. No frills, flowers or flourishes. Yummy butter icing! She had bought a bride and groom to top it with, but lost them, so we substituted two plastic toy pigs.
THE BEST CAKE EVER!

Sounds like classic "customer No service." How dumb is a business to treat people like that, you were not even a customer yet and they were treating you like crap....

I will make you some blonde brownies...

I've been to a wedding when they served "Death by Chocolate" brownies instead of cake - and it was good.
