Heather has started this and I LOVE the idea. Just blogging about Random Stuff you remember.
So here goes my first shot....
My brother (4 years older) was incredibly curious about Christmas gifts. Bad. Mom and Dad used to have to lock the bedroom door to prevent him from peeking. Which he always managed to.
I was about 8 or 9 and my folks were out leaving me and Jon at home. He left me watching TV and he was out in the garage. Having figured out that mom and dad had hid the gifts in the attic (only accessible by the garage and by a ladder - not by that ladder thing attached to the attic door) he ventured up to go and check out his loot.
Did you know that when you are in the attic you are supposed to step on the beams and that sheetrock isn't strong enough to hold a 12 or 13 year old? Well, he didn't.
CRASH.
The sheetrock completely cracked and he apparantly caught himself before injuring himself.
He came in the house and tried to bribe me to take the heat for it.
HAHAHAHA. No.
Mom and Dad came home. He tried to blame it on me (isn't that what older brothers do??)
He was grounded for a long, long time. We still don't know if he got all the gifts that were purchased for him.
I still am holding a grudge this many years later since he tried to blame me.
