OK, so I guess I owe a little explanation on the last post? Huh?
With all that BS I was going through at work and working long hard hours, I just didn't notice that I was late. I did notice that I was exceptionally tired, and peeing a crap load, but in my blind ignorance, I didn't know that was symptoms of being PREGNANT!!!
So finally on May 1st, I finally did the whole "period math" and started counting. I realized that I was about 7-8 days late. So I called Mark and said that I was running to the local drug store. I pulled out of the garage as he was pulling in the garage. I got home, went to the downstairs bath and from that second, our lives changed.
I wish I could tell you that I told Mark in some fun, romantic way. Nope. It consisted of me opening the door and saying "Ummm....hon? Honey? HONEY?!!??!!??!!"
We were beyond shocked. There was no way this was only going to take us a few months of trying!
We went to the doctor on the 8th, and she confirmed everything. She said I am about 7-8 weeks along (about a week more than what my math was showing). Mark came to the appointment, and was so blasted uncomfortable, it was cute.
We go back on June 12th to hear the heartbeat! That's one hell of a birthday present, huh? (Mine is on the 11th)
Now, i know that a lot of women choose not to talk about their pregnancy until out of the first trimester. I just couldn't.
I invite you to join me and Mark as we go through this wonderful and exciting journey! In the upcoming days, I will "talk" about:
1. How we told our parents
2. My "symptoms" - (let's not mention broccoli, ok??)
3. TV shows I can't watch as a result of #2.
4. Whatever else comes up.
It';s been hard not talking about this here for the past week and a half! There are a few people who read here who know my family, so I just couldn't do it!
Hugs!!!

Woo Hoo! That's exciting...and hey you figured it out faster than I did. My math was off - I though I was only about 5 or 6 weeks, but I was really 12. I completely missed my first trimester!
Can't wait to hear all of the stories...
CONGRATS!!!!
I am wishing you an easy First Trimester (ie - no sickies). And a most comfortable Third Trimester (ie -no aching hips, back, or swollen feet).
Take care of yourself, rest whenever possible, and drink lots of water!
Congrats! Hope everything else comes as easy as the trying part.
Congratulations, sweet friend.
You're going to be faulous parents!
Woo-hoo!! Congratulations!!
When I tested, I made myself wait until I was a few days late. Husband was on the computer and didn't know I was testing. I brought the test to him and mutely showed it to him, still dumbfounded. :-)
