Why I Love Blogging

There are so many reasons why I love blogging.

The first blog I consistently read was Mama Drama. I have no idea why I read it. I am not a Mama. But they accepted me and my failing attempts at humor. These women who write there AND the women (and men) who comment - they absolutely are the best. Hell, they even had a party and I got to go!! These folks are amazing. So nice (snarky sometimes) but so damn nice. They have made me laugh, brought tears to my eyes, and comforted me in ways they will never know.

Through them, I have found so many fabulous bloggers.

When I told Mark that I have a zillion blogs I read consistently, he commented about me being wierd and kinda stalking strangers. But I never thought I could so care about these total strangers and feel like they might actually care about me.

Just a few of the ladies I read:

"J" - Wow. An absolute amazing writer. That's about all I can say. Each day, I look forward to what she has to say. She really truly inspires me. I know that she does the same for so many people.

Heather - Wow - she has got a fabulous life. She's got a full live with a great hubby and great kids. And yeah, she thought I was on crack when I was griping about how big of a yard we almost got when we were house hunting. And she has neigbors that rank up their with mine. And when I've been down - she's been there with words to lift me up. Did I mention that her neighbors are as bad (worse??) than mine? So I feel better about mine when she tells stories about them. But she always has kind, caring words for me. ALWAYS....

ReevesFarm - One of the funniest people EVER. Seriously - if I am depressed, I just go back and think about her post about her son and the nickname Magnuts. I thought she had posted it on her website HINT HINT but I can't find it so I think I only read it at MamaDrama. HINT HINT ReevesFarm. Sheesh. I swear, I would bookmark that post.

MamaLee - Honey, you rock. Great stories. Inspiring stuff, humorous stuff, stuff to make me think. You have it all. Except for this stupid ostrich picture, that gives me the heebie jeebies. You give rockin' good comments and always make me smile. Seriously - I know when I go to your blog I am gonna end up smiling.

And finally:
Terry, the Cancer Diva
She, without a doubt, is the most amazing woman I have ever met. Screw that - she's the most amazing person I have ever met. She is battling cancer and she is so amazingly upbeat. She has good stories about everything that is happening to her. (and a kick ass car). Honestly, i can be a whiney, unhappy person. But why am I unhappy? cuz Mark refuses to put the toilet seat down. Or I have neigbors who like to have wierd parties. And yet, she has cancer and is about to blog about what she is going to do with her hair. And you know what? She so completely has better crap to do, but she emails back EVERY damn time I make a comment on her blog. WTH? Can you please ignore my silly comments and go have fun with....ummmm...pretty much anything but me??? But she always does.

So, for these ladies....I thank you. I really do. All the ladies at MamaDrama, J, Heather, ReevesFarm, MamaLee and Terry - you all make me smile. Make me feel like I am okay. You make me feel like life is good and that I am fairly normal.

It's odd to feel like I have people in my life who I dont "know" that I give such a huge damn about. But I do.

And y'all are the best.

Thank you for always "listening" and for "being there".

Smoochies and hugs.

---Margaret

Yay for bloggers who make us laugh and think!

MamaDrama is definitely one of the best blogs out there, for sure.

Ah, Margaret... how wonderfully, well, WONDERFUL of you to include me in your tribute. How unexpected… I love surprises!

You are such a sweetie. You are always one of the FIRST people to leave a comment when I post a new entry, and I look forward to reading which things you will single out for special mention each time. :>)

Thank you for keeping up with me and making me smile, and I will continue to follow your story and (hope to) make you smile, too. It’s one big foundation of support we’ve got going on here, Chickita!

P.S. Of course, you know I share in your big love for the dames over at MamaDrama, but I’ll be sure to check out the other blogs you singled out, too.

You are too, too sweet! I'm flattered as all get-out that you think of me that way. It is funny that we can care so much about these friends we don't know in person, but I really do. I've got your back whenever you need it!
Now I have a new crop of blogs to check out! Thanks! I have to say that I'm jealous of the gals with your email address, though. :o)

Well, thanks for giving me even more blogs to check out. I'll have to quit my job so I have more time to keep track of all these great blogs everyone links to~ :)

I am so with you. Especially on the semi stalking of mama blogs even though I have no rug rats.

Hi, Margaret.

Does it have anything to do with the "Choose an identity" option on your comments page?

It says you can choose to be a "Google/Blogger", "Other," or "Anonymous."

I select "other," then enter my name and the web address for my blog.

Maybe some people choose anonymous, either accidentally or on purpose.

Curious...
