Preparing for having a son

1. Sound asleep. Awake to a certain un-named male in my family storming into the bedroom. Using quite a few un-mentionable words.
2. Ask him to repeat himself as you are sure he didn't say something about red ink on your tan carpet.
3. Wonder if the amnio is correct and hoping a son will take more after yourself than same un-named man in the family
4. Go into adjoining room and see quarter sized stain of bright red ink...on tan carpet
5. Asked for a can of sprite, figuring it's close to tonic water, right?
6. Quickly googled removing ink and found this website. Forget the sprite, bring on the milk!
7. Declared my undying love for this person as they saved my carpet. Who'd-a-thunk milk would remove an ink stain from carpet???

Lesson Learned - A red ball point ink pen does NOT function as a minature crowbar to pry something open. It will break and splash ink all over the carpet.

So, this is what I have to look forward to with a little boy on the way, right??

Yippeee!!!

Milk??? Really?

Yes, I'm sure it is. But I've got girls too and they are just as bad. At least my little one is.

Red ink....oy.

I guess MArk is just doing his part. Rest assured that girls are much harder on your patience and nerves than boys.
PS- husbands are GREAT prep for what kids will be like!

At least you're learning before the baby's born.

Ack - but then I would have to clean up the milk. (see, I think weird like that). Yes, boys get into a lot - but my daughter has done much more damage to this house than my son has.

I was totally unprepared for my little boy. He gives me heart palpitations daily. But there is no one more lovable. When he puckers up and kisses me. When he flexes to "show me his muscles". When he hugs his big sister. When he smiles with the devil in his eyes.

You're going to adore your son. Just put off buying anymore nice furniture until after he leaves for college. :)

Um, yeah, lemme jus' share as my sister has two boys so I've been able to learn a few things over the years:

Any weird wacky thing your husband does? Magnify it. What daddys do in moderation, boys will do in excess.

Sorry.

HEE!

Really? Milk?

Oh and say goodbye to your white carpet once your little man comes. You'll wish for the days of one little red mark lol.
It's all good though. Boys are so much fun!
